Caitlin Cronenberg’s STRANGE/BEAUTY Exhibit at CONTACT Photography Festival

STRANGE/BEAUTY features a selection of Caitlin Cronenberg’s monochrome works (including a 2012 New York Times photo-diary of the Cannes Film Festival) and a series of portraits of Toronto icon Drake. Inspired by the writer Walter Pater’s quote, “It is the addition of strangeness to beauty that constitutes the romantic character in art,” Cronenberg unearths the private dimensions of public figures and evokes the uncanny in her evocative and stylistically diverse photography. Catch the show at Coldstream Fine Art until June 8th, 2019.
