Meet our newest roster addition: Jessica JM Wu, a director and producer based in Toronto.
Jessica wrote, directed, and produced her first short film WHITE DRAGON in 2019. Her sophomore short film, SWEET MEMORIES (2021) was featured on Nowness and Nowness Asia. The film made its festival debut at the 25th Annual Reel Asian International Film Festival and was featured on BooooooomTV and Beyond the Short. Her first branded content piece, an artist profile for GUCCI Beauty shot on 16mm film, launched in 2022.
Storytelling and world building are the guiding forces of Jessica’s work. Aesthetic and visual choices are always informed by story and character in order to create rich and immersive environments that are undeniably hers. Her work often draws from personal experience and family history.
One of Jessica’s personal mandates holds that hiring behind the camera must reflect the stories being told on camera. She holds her work to the highest standards with a commitment to diverse and inclusive storytelling and hiring practices.
Formerly, she worked as a commercial producer at VICE and production manager at Kid. Studio. She is currently represented for commercial work at Arthouse (Canada).

An inimitable artist joins our roster—meet Ted Belton.
Ted Belton is a portrait and fashion photographer living in Toronto and working internationally. His graphic and energetic approach has earned commissions from clients such as Holt Renfrew and Dior, and from publications such as Rolling Stone, Dazed, AirMail, Elle Canada, Elle Decor, The Globe and Mail, and Kinfolk, to which he is a regular contributor.
Ted’s work has been nominated for three Canadian National Magazine Awards, and in 2015, he was the recipient of the P&G Beauty Award for photography. In 2019, his series of portraits produced in collaboration with Kobo Books titled “Portrait of a Reader” was mounted as a gallery show at Contact Photography Festival.
Ted’s personal interest in documenting individuals of exceptional style has led him into the homes of socialites and eccentrics, the studios of artists, musicians, and designers, to skateparks and club nights, and to Paris Fashion Week, where he continues to be a keen observer of fashion and its players.

The environmentally themed thriller takes place over a single day mere months after a global environmental collapse has forced world leaders to take extreme measures to reduce the earth’s population. In a wealthy enclave, a recently retired newsman has invited his four grown children to dinner to announce his intentions to enlist in the nation’s new euthanasia program. But when the father’s plan goes horribly awry, tensions flare and chaos erupts among his children.
“Each and every day on set felt like a gift and I feel truly blessed to have worked with such remarkable talents, both in front of and behind the camera. I cannot wait to share this film with the world,” beams Cronenberg.

A new day reaches dawn—introducing the third iteration of New Day, a grassroots creative project in support of the Red Door Family Shelter, an organization providing urgent housing and services to hundreds of families in crisis each year. Spearheaded by Saty+Pratha, the project features an art calendar for 2023 with joyous floral photography, shot by the duo, and related (t-shirts, totes, greeting cards, prints).
The project has raised more than $33,000 so far. 100% of New Day sales are donated to the Shelter.
